Summary:PURPOSE:To perform the surface smoothing and polishing of a film, in coating a high viscosity coating agent comprising a base material containing no volatile component, by imparting mechanical vibration and heating to a film. CONSTITUTION:In coating a high viscosity coating agent containing no volatile component in the base material thereof such as a radiation curable resin or a hot melt resin, mechanical vibration 2 is applied to a film after coating and, at the same time, said film is heated by a heater 3. By this method, the surface smoothing and polishing of the film can be performed.
