Summary:PURPOSE:To enhance the regeneration effect of a dessicant by prolonging a purge time without generating the clogging of a regenerating throttle passage, by receiving dry compressed air for use in regeneration in a plurality of chambers connected in series in a divided state, and providing check valve between the chambers. CONSTITUTION:The interior of a regeneration tank 3 is divided into an upstream side chamber 45 and a downstream side chamber 46 by a partition wall 47 and a check valve 51 is provided between both chambers while a throttle passage 52 bypassing the check valve 51 is formed to the valve seat 53 of the check valve 51. The reverse flow of dry compressed air to an air drying chamber 2 from the regeneration tank 3 at the time of the regeneration cycle of a dessicant is performed by passing compressed air in the upstream side chamber 45 through a throttle passage 19 and compressed air in the chamber 46 enters the chamber 45 through the throttle passage 52 as the pressure in the chamber 45 is fallen and subsequently flowed back to the air drying chamber 2 through the throttle passage 19. Air passing resistance to compressed air in the downstream side chamber 46 becomes larger than that of the chamber 45 and, corresponding to this, purge time can be prolonged.
