Summary:PURPOSE:To shorten a necessary time by rewriting a microprogram for check point information on specific hardware into a program for a substitute logical means in response to the detection output of the check point information, and changing a processing sequence path to make the retry. CONSTITUTION:A CS (control storage device) data register 2 which outputs control information on element such as local storage units LSX and LSY is controlled by a control storage device 1 incorporating the microprogram, and a detecting means 3 detects a specific value as the check point information when an error occurs to specific hardware, e.g. storage LSX or high-speed arithmetic circuit HO. The miroprogram part for the specific hardware, e.g. storage LSX is rewritten by a rewriting means 13 for the storage LSY as the substitute logical means in response to the output of the detecting means, and after processing sequence paths are changed, its retry is made to eliminate the retry of an unnecessary hardware part.
