Summary: | PURPOSE:To input Japanese words at a high speed, by selecting automatically a character by a Kanji (Chinese character) pattern recognizing function without requiring any display selection by the operator of a Japanese word processor. CONSTITUTION:The keyboard 1 uses a Kana (Japanese syllabary) keyboard or an alphabet keyboard, but such a way that to input Kanji by voice through a voice input device 7 and convert the inputted voice into Kana codes is available. An optical character input device 3 forms the image of a character written on the original on an one-dimensional array photoelectric conversion element and converts the optical image into an electric signal pattern. An output device 5 outputs Kana-to-Kanji converted Kanji codes. A processor 6 generates Kanji codes corresponding to Kana character strings from the Kana code from the keyboard 1 and the original pattern from the optical character input device 3. |
