Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a long-life low-cost high-temperature heating element usable at a high temperature without causing the evaporation of Cr component, having excellent heat-deformation resistance and degradation resistance, by forming the terminal part having a specific composition integrally with the heat-generating part having different composition. CONSTITUTION:The objective high-temperature heating element is manufactured by forming the terminal part made of the material of formula I (x is 0.03-0.4) integrally with the heat-generating part made of the material of formula II (x is defined above; y is 0.03-0.4). The conventional lanthanum-chromite heater has low practical value at a high temperature because of its deformation or degradation. Furthermore, since the Cr component is evaporated at high temperature, the problem of contamination of the object to be heated and the deformation or degradation, etc. of the heating element by the decrease in the Cr content occurred. The above defects are eliminated in the present heating element, and consequently, the element can be used at a high temperature for a long period without causing the evaporation of the Cr component, and can be manufactured at a low cost.
