HIGH-CHROMIUM HEAT-RESISTING STEEL

PURPOSE:To provide a high-chromium heat-resisting steel having high-temp. strength and toughness by incorporating a specific ratio of C, Si, Mn, Cr, Mo, V, Nb, Al, Ti and B into Fe. CONSTITUTION:A high-chromium heat-resisting steel consisting, by wt%, of 0.01-0.15% C, <=1% (lower limit is about 0...

Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a high-chromium heat-resisting steel having high-temp. strength and toughness by incorporating a specific ratio of C, Si, Mn, Cr, Mo, V, Nb, Al, Ti and B into Fe. CONSTITUTION:A high-chromium heat-resisting steel consisting, by wt%, of 0.01-0.15% C, <=1% (lower limit is about 0.1%) Si, <=2% (lower limit is about 0.1%) Mn, 7-15% Cr, 0.5-3.5% Mo and <=0.3% (lower limit is about 0.5%) V, contains at least one kind among <=0.2% (lower limit is about 0.01%) Nb, <=0.5% (lower limit is about >=0.2%) Al, <=1.5% (lower limit is about >=0.2%) Ti and <=0.05% (lower limit is about 0.001%) B and consisting of the balance substantially Fe is prepd. Such steel has excellent weldability, workability, resistance to oxidation at a high temp. and is more inexpensive than an austenitic stainless steel.
