Summary: | PURPOSE:To provide a water-soluble coolant having excellent lubricity and cooling performance in the high-speed deep-drawing and ironing work, and composed of an aqueous solution containing a specific amount of a phosphorus-containing compound obtained by phosphatizing an epoxidized product of a higher unsaturated fatty acid, etc. CONSTITUTION:Preferably a 14-28C (especially 16-18C) higher unsaturated fatty acid (ester) is epoxidized preferably to a conversion of 50-90%, and the obtained epoxidized product is phosphatized with e.g. orthophosphoric acid, polyphosphoric acid, etc. to obtain a phosphorus-containing compound. The objective water-soluble coolant is produced by adding the compound to an aqueous solution in an amount of 0.1-20wt% (preferably 0.5-10wt%). EFFECT:The formed can body is easily extracted from the ironing pinch, and the coolant can be washed off only with water. The waste water can be disposed easily. Excellent rust-proofness can be applied during and after the forming of the can. |
