PURPOSE:To obtain a color picture image causing only slight optical and thermal discoloration and causing scarcely color-imbalance even after preservation for a long period by incorporating specified two kinds of cyan coupler in combination. CONSTITUTION:Two kinds of cyan coupler for forming color picture image expressed by the formulas I and II (wherein R , R and R are aliphatic group, aryl group, or heterocyclic group; R and R are H, halogen, alkyl, etc.: R may form an N-contg. 5 or 6 membered ring in combination with R ; R is aliphatic, aryl, or heterocyclic group; R and R are H or lower alkyl; Z and Z are H or a group which is eliminated in the stage of coupling reaction with an oxidized body of a developing agent; n is 0 or 1) are contained in combination in the silver halide emulsion laer on a base body. By the use of such two kinds of cyan coupler in combination, color developing and color reproducing characteristics are improved. Variation of color balance under exposure and in the dark is prevented for a long period. Accordingly, the preservability of the picture image is satisfactory. Long terminal preservability of picture image is also good at high temp. and high humidity causing no imbalance of color.
