Summary: | PURPOSE:To decrease considerably large-sized inclusions by inserting a lance for blowing a stirring gas into the molten steel in a ladle and moving circularly the gas blow port thereof at a specific radius of rotation while rotating the lance at a specific circumferential speed. CONSTITUTION:A top blowing lance 3 is inserted into the molten steel 2 stored in the ladle 1 from above the ladle and while gaseous argon 6 is blown therefrom, the lance is rotated by a lance driving device 4 contg. rotating and swiveling mechanisms; at the same time the top end of the lance is circularly moved. The gas blow port at the bottom end of the lance is circularly moved at the radius of rotation of 1/4-3/4 the radius of the ladle while the lance 3 is rotated at a high speed of >=30m/min circumferential speed. The large-sized inclusions are thus considerably decreased and a high effect is obtd. in the production of a clean steel. |
