Summary:PURPOSE:To attain silver salt recording and non-silver salt recording, and to save space and cost, by executing both the recording by switching the same recording light source. CONSTITUTION:Laser light 8 scanned by a polygon mirror 7 passes through an Ftheta lens 6, and is reflected by a switching mirror. When a microswitch S1 is turned on by the mirror 5, the laser light 8 is irradiated to a silver salt film 2 on a drum 1. The switch S1 varies an intensity modulating level in accordance with a sensitivity of a film. When the mirror 5 is switched, the laser light 8 is irradiated to a non-silver salt film 4 on a drum 3. The drums 1, 3 are driven by a motor M and brought to a sub-scan.
