Summary:PURPOSE:To operate a class ''B'' amplifier efficiently by storing an input signal in a RAM in a form of digital signal and controlling an inverter power source on a basis of this signal. CONSTITUTION:The analog signal from a signal source 1 is converted to a digital signal by an A/D converter 10 and is stored in a RAM12. This stored digital signal is delayed by a predetermined time (the time required for rise of an inverter power source 5A) and is read out and is supplied to an operating part 15. The operating part 15 operates a control signal corresponding to the crest value of the input analog signal. This control signal is converted to an analog signal by a D/A converter 13 and is supplied to the inverter power source 5A. Thus, a class ''B'' amplifier 4 is always driven with an optimum operating voltage corresponding to the crest value level of the input analog signal because the inverter power source 5A changes the output voltage in accordance with the control signal. Consequently, the class ''B'' amplifier is operated efficiently.
