Summary:PURPOSE:To control with less noise and vibration and sufficient responsiveness in comparison with a PWM type inverter by controlling with a PAM inverter provided with a noninterference calculator. CONSTITUTION:A noninterference calculator 70 calculates and output the absolute value of a voltage vector V* and a phase phi necessary to hold preferable controllability without interfering a torque current and an exciting magnetic flux current in an induction equipment by using a torque current command i1beta*, a magnetic flux current command i1alpha*, and a rotor rotating angle speed omegagamma fed through a counter 50 from a speed sensor 38. A voltage vector sorting controller 72 controls an inverter driver 26 to select a control voltage vector Vc nearest in phase to the V* command from V0-V5. A voltage controller 34 controls the firing angle of a phase control converter 10 in accordance with the output of an adder 32.
