PURPOSE:To enable exact measurement of moisture in short time by heating and drying a sample, measuring the moisture content evaporated until a limiting moisture content is sttained and determining the moisture of the sample in accordance with the weight of the sample and the preliminarily determined limiting moisture content. CONSTITUTION:The point of the time when the sample heated in a through flow dryer attained to the limiting moisture content HC is known from the rise of the temp. of the sample, the fall of the rate of moisture evaporation, the fall of the humidity of waste gas or the rise of the temp. of the waste gas. The device is so constituted that the drying after said point of the time is omitted and that the moisture of the supplied sample can be estimated in accordance with the rate of evaporation of the moisture from the sample till said point of the time, the weight of the sample supplied to the dryer and the preliminarily determined limit moisture content HC.
