Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent an abnormal rise in the voltage of an electrode and the damage of the electrode and to maintain the efficiency of cleaning by carrying out electrolytic cleaning with an electrode of Pd, Rh, Ni or an alloy thereof, an electrode plated with said metal or alloy, or an electrode of an iron alloy contg. a specified amount of said metal. CONSTITUTION:High-speed electrolytic cleaning is carried out with an electrode of Pd, Rh, Ni or an alloy thereof, an electrode plated with said metal or alloy, or an electrode of an iron alloy contg. >=1wt% Pd or Rh or >=3.5wt% Ni. The damage of the electrode due to supplied electric current, an abnormal rise in the voltage of the electrode and reduction in electric current for electrolysis are prevented, so the efficiency of high-speed electrolytic cleaning is maintained, and the exchange and repair of the electrode can be reduced.
