Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a white light emitting screen which little causes lowering in luminescent efficiency even at a high temp. and in which saturation current is small, by forming a sedimentation film of a Tb-activated lanthanum oxychloride phosphor and a Eu-activated yttrium oxide phosphor on the inner surface of the face of a cathode ray tube. CONSTITUTION:A sedimentation film of a phosphor mixture of a terbium-activated lanthanum oxychloride phosphor contg. terbium at a concn. of 0.4-0.7wt% and a europium-activated yttrium oxide phosphor in a mixing ratio of 10:1-15:1 by weight is formed on the inner surface of the face of a cathode ray tube by using a esdimentation soln. contg. water glass and barium sulfate in a weight ratio of water glass to barium sulfate of 20-40. In this way, A white light emitting luminescent screen formed from the terbium-activated lanthanum oxychloride phosphor contg. terbium at a concn. of 0.4-0.7wt% and the europium-activated yttrium oxide phosphor in a mixing ratio of 10:1-15:1 by weight can be obtd.
