Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce a frictional shearing force and a pressure concentration on a contact surface between wedge ends and wedge channel shoulders, by providing a flame coating film layer of soft metal on the wedge surface in contact with the wedge channel shoulders. CONSTITUTION:Rotor windings 3 are wound round a plurality of slots 2 in the axial direction provided in the outer circumference of a cylindrical rotary core 1 and are prevented from springing out due to centrifugal force by inserting a plurality of wedges 5 into tapered wedge channels 4 of slot outlets. And the wedge surface 5a confronting to the wedge channel shoulders 4a of the core 1 is provided with 0.2mm. thick flame coating aluminum film layer 6. As the result, the flame coating film layer of soft metal provided on the wedge surface is easily compressed and deformed, and so the concentration of the surface pressure, the main cause of fretting damage and the frictional shearing force due to relative slip can be reduced.
