Summary: | PURPOSE:To reduce the flection produced in a bed as well as to make highly accurate electro-discharge machining attainable, by forming a moving mechanism between members into a sliding mechanism by means of surface contact, while uniformly dispersing load of each member on the bed. CONSTITUTION:A vertically long lower guide rail 13 in convex form corresponding to a sectional concave hollow of an upper guide rail 12 is laid down on the backside of a saddle 4 at a position being slidable to the upper guide rail 12. Likewise, an upper guide rail 14 is laid down on the saddle 4 inplace of a table guide rail, and a lower guide rail 15 is also laid down on the backside of a table 6 as in case of the backside of the saddle 4. Thus, in time of electro-discharge machining, even if the saddle 4 is moved in a Y-axis direction, load of the saddle 4, the table 6 and a work is uniformly disperse over the whole upper guide rail 12 of a bed 1, that is, uniformly loaded on the bed 1. Therefore, when the saddle 4 is moved and an end of the saddle 4 runs on a reinforcing rib, shifting to a position where the rib is none, the load imposed on the bed 1 is in no case one-sided, thus flection delta of the bed 1 reduces and a waving phenomenon comes to nothing. |
