Summary:PURPOSE:To attain the input of an absolute position, display of input position and further movement of the input position while observing a CRT scope by constituting the device to detect the input of still position of a light and its movement is detected. CONSTITUTION:Position information 6 of a light pen 2 is stored temporarily to a position registration section and outputted to a host system 5. It is outputted to a position display control section 9 at the same time to generate the position display information, which is outputted to a CRT scope display control section 3 thereby displaying the corresponding position of a CRT display section 1. In moving a photodetector of the light pen 2 in an optional direction on the CRT scope, a movement detecting section 7 detects the direction and speed of the light pen position information from its timewise change, the position movement information 10 is outputted to a position register section 8 to move and correct the registered position. The registered position information 11 moved and corrected is outputted to the host system 5 and the CRT scope display control section 3 and the amount of the moved and corrected scope is confirmed by the position display of the CRT display section 1.
