Summary:PURPOSE:To manufacture continuously the titled high-quality painted steel plate by spraying a paint to a band-shaped steel plate which is transferred from the lower side to the upper side, then blowing a gas upon the paint, and drying it. CONSTITUTION:Water-soluble or a water emulsion resinous paint is sprayed and supplied to a band-shaped steel plate 1 which is continuously transferred from the lower side to the upper side from a spray header 2. Then a gas in blown upon the paint on the band-shaped steel plate 1 from a gas nozzle 4 arranged above the header 2 to form a thin coated film having uniform thickness. The band-shaped steel plate on which the coated film is formed is passed through a dryer 6 to dry the coated film. The surface temp. of the gas nozzle 4 for blowing the gas upon the band-shaped steel plate 1 is necessarily regulated to <=40 deg.C. Consequently, the high-quality painted steel plate can be continuously manufactured.
