Summary:PURPOSE:To apply predetermined pressure onto the plate group by covering the plate group with a bag casing then with synthetic resin sheet laminated with aluminum foil thereafter encapsulating air between them. CONSTITUTION:The electrode plate group in an enclosed storage battery constituted with a positive plate 3, a negative plate 4, glass fiber, etc. is housed in a bag housing 8 made of synthetic resin sheet or film then the circumference is welded except the portion 8b thereafter covered with synthetic resin sheet or film 8' where polyethylene is laminated over the surface of aluminum foil and welded except the portion 8a. Then air is blown through said portion 8a while electrolyte is injected through the portion 8b and sealed to complete a battery. When setting the air pressure properly, predetermined pressure can be applied uniformly onto the entire face of the plate gloup.
