Summary: | PURPOSE:A thermal energy storage material that is obtained by adding magnesium hydroxide to zinc nitrate hexahydrate in an amount exceeding the solubility of the magnesium compound in the aqueous zinc nitrate, thus developing markedly increased nucleation effect of the zinc nitrate hexahydrate. CONSTITUTION:The objective material is obtained by adding (A) a compound selected from the group consisting of magnesiumhydroxide, magnesium metasilicate or calcium metasilicate, magnesium orthosilicate and zinc hydroxide to (B) zinc nitrate hexahydrate in an amount more than its solubility in the saturated solution of component B. |
