Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent the dissolution and piercing of a layer formed by plating due to concentrated electric current or an arc spot when a plating component deposited on the nonplated side of a one-side electroplated steel sheet is remived, by supplying electric current from the nonplated side through a conductor roll. CONSTITUTION:A one-side zinc alloy electroplated steel sheet 1 is brought into contact with a conductur roll 2 by means of a backup roll 3, and it is pssed through an electrolytic soln. 4 in a vertical electrolytic cell. At this time, the nonplated side 6 and the plated side 7 of the steel sheet 1 are set as shown in the figure so that the side 6 contacts with the roll 2, and electric current is supplied using the steel sheet 1 as an anode through the roll 2 and an electrode 5 as a cathode. A plating component deposited on the nonplated side 6 is dissolved in the soln. 4 to finish electrolytic stripping. A hole is not pierced in the plated side 7 by dissolution, so the side 7 is not damaged.
