Summary: | PURPOSE:To shorten knock detecting time by a simple and inexpensive circuit constitution, by counting the frequencies when the output signal from a knocking vibration detector within a specified judging period exceeds a noise level, and updating the noise level and the knock judging level at the next cycle. CONSTITUTION:A microcomputer 10 output a noise level, which can be updated, and a judging level to a comparator 14 through a D/A converter 11 in a time division mode. When the output waveform of a knocking detector 1, which is obtained through a filter 2, exceeds the noise level and the knock judging level in the comparator, noise pulses and knock pulses are outputted to the computer 10. The noise level is updated in correspondence with the number of the noise pulses. The knock judging level is updated in association with the noise level. The knock is judged in correspondence with the number of the knock pulses. Thus the knocking detecting time is shortened by a simple and inexpensive circuit constitution. |
