Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain a rotor blade with little lowering of efficiency and with low manufacturing cost by providing, on the belly side of a rotor blade tip part, eaves which prevent leakage flow in such a manner as they project into a part of a passage. CONSTITUTION:An axial-flow rotary machine is equipped with blades 1, blade root parts 3, a rotor 5 and the like. In this case, eaves 10, preventing leakage flow 9, are provided on the belly side 7 of a rotor blade tip part 6 in such a manner as they project into a part of a passage 11. Further, eaves 10 are either cut in one body with the blade 1 or fitted to it by means of welding or the like. Thus, a pressure difference between the belly side 7 and the back side 8 is reduced due to the eaves 10 and a leakage flow 9 on the tip 6 can be lessened. Accordingly, the rotary machine of cheap manufacturing cost and excellent performance can be obtained.
