Summary: | PURPOSE:To increase treating capacity and to improve remarkably productivity in a vacuum heat treating furnace which has a fore-chamber connecting in series to a main heating chamber by providing a preheating space and a stand-by space to the fore chamber. CONSTITUTION:A preheating space 13 and a stand-by space 14 are provided to the inside of a fore chamber 4 formed in a way as to connect in series to a main heating chamber 1 provided airtightly with intermediate doors 2, 3 at both ends. A heat shielding plate 16 made of a stainless steel as a heat insulating material is provided to enclose a material (a) to be heated placed on a fixing base 15 in the space 13 and an electric heater 17 is provided on the inside thereof. The inside of the chamber 4 and a cooling chamber 5 can be airtightly closed by outlet doors 18, 19. The material (a) preheated in the space 13 is moved into the chamber 1 by opening the door 2 and is further heated to a high temp. The succeeding material (a) can be immediately loaded into the chamber 4 if the door 18 is opened after closing the door 2 and restoring the pressure in the chamber 4. More specifically, the material (a) loaded into the chamber 4 is positioned into the space 14, then the door 18 is closed and after the inside of the chamber 4 is evacuated to a prescribed degree of vacuum, the material (a) is transferred into the space 13. |
