Summary: | PURPOSE:To increase infiltration capacity, by a method wherein rain water is gathered by the aid of a number of ditches formed in the surface of a hard-to- permeate layer or an impermeable layer to guide it to a permeable ditch, and a bored well, extending from the permeable ditch through difficult-to-permeate layer to the permeable layer, is provided. CONSTITUTION:Rain water, permeating a ground, is freed of refuse and coarse sand while passing through rayon mat laid to the sides of ditches 2, and flows through small gravel 5 and is guided to a lateral ditch 3a of a permeable ditch 3. Water, flowing in the permeable ditch 3, permeates through sand 9 and gravel 8 to be filtered. The filtered water flows through a horizontal perforated pipe 7 and flows down to a permeable port 3b. With the aid of a bored well 3c, the water, flowing through a low permeable layer 1 and an impermeable layer, permeates through a permeable layer 4 to produce underground water for cultivation. When the permeable ditch 3 is decreased in water permeating effect, the ditch is back-washed by means of a vertical hollow pipe 12 to restore infiltration capacity. |
