Summary:PURPOSE:To provide a soldering device which prevents smoke from injuring the operator's bronchus and eyes, eliminates the uncomfortable feel by the smoke and improves working environment by the constitution in which an air suction path is provided to a soldering iron to suck away immediately the smoke generated in the soldering operation. CONSTITUTION:Smoke is generated from the colophonium contained in a solder material or a preliminarily coated flux, etc. if a soldering operation is carried out by pressing the tip of a soldering iron to the solder material after heating a member 2 by conducting electricity to an electric heater 4. If the flow passage of an air suction pipe 6 is preliminarily opened by operating a stop valve 8 just prior to the soldering operation, the negative pressure of a vacuum pump, etc. is exerted through the pipe 6 to an air suction port 7 and therefore rhe smoke generated by the soldering operation is immediately sucked through the port 7. The smoke is passed through an air suction pipe 7 and a filter and is then discharged through a suitable discharge port. The operator closes the flow passage of the pipe 6 by operating the valve 8 to prevent cooling of the member 2 by the air flow when there is no more generation of the smoke upon ending of the soldering operation.
