Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent shifting of a head simply when carrying and shifting the device without requiring troublesome work by locking a record reproducing head to the body of the device by a specified locking device when power source is not made on. CONSTITUTION:A rubber pad 28 is stuck to the pad stand 29 of a head box 3', and a plunger 24 is provided in the plunger fitting board 23 of the body of the device, and a circular friction plate 26 is attached to the tip of a plunger iron core. When power source is not put on, the friction board 26 is pressed by the rubber pad 28 through a compression spring 27, and the head box 3' is fixed. When power source is made on, the plunger 24 is excited, and the friction board 26 is separated from the pad 28 and the head becomes possible to move in radial direction. Accordingly, shifting of the head can be prevented simply when carrying and shifting the device without requiring particularly troublesome work.
