Summary:PURPOSE:To observe plural different objective materials at the same time with a single synthetic aperture radar by radiating plural pulse radio waves of different frequency from an antenna in sequence or irregularly and repeatedly. CONSTITUTION:A controller 17 is controlled to send pulse transmit signals of, for example, three different frequencies F1, F2, and F3 out of a transmitter, pulse by pulse, in order repeatedly. Simultaneously, pulse radio waves of frequencies F1, F2, and F3 are radiated repeatedly at time points T1, T2, T3... in the flying direction L of an airframe from an antenna 12 having element arrays switched by an antenna switch 16 controlled by the controller 17, their reflected waves are received by a receiver 13 through the antenna 12 and recorded on a recorder 14, and the recorded data are processed to obtain videos of three different kinds of objective material on the ground.
