PURPOSE:To obtain a durable mold which permits exact transfer and formation of a fine pattern as well and has a porous air permeable structure by transferring finally a pattern body provided with a ground pattern of a woodgrain, woven fabric or the like to a mold consisting of an air permeable sintered body via an intermediate mold consisting of a resin. CONSTITUTION:A pattern body 2 provided with a ground pattern of a leather grain, woodgrain, woven fabric or the like on the surface is mounted to a master model 1. A pattern 3 or real mold is installed atop said body 2 and a flask body 4 is imposed atop the model 1 to form a space part. A liquid resin 5 contg. a curing catalyst is poured into the space part and is cured to form a resin mold A. A resin mold B is then transferred from the mold A and is molded. A flask body 8 is imposed atop the mold B to form a space part and a slurry 9 consisting of powder of iron and ceramics is poured into the space part and is cured. The cured body is dried and calcined and is then calcined for prescribed time in an oxidizing atmosphere.
