Summary:PURPOSE:To obtain an air-permeable durable die, to which an applied art-shaped pattern is formed, easily at low cost by flowing slurry consisting of specific powder and a binder into a space formed by a master model and a frame body and baking a cured molded shape. CONSTITUTION:A model 3 is mounted to the upper surface of a model body 2, on which oxhide with a grain leather pattern is lined, in a closely contact manner. A slurry-shaped mixture 5 in which cast iron powder, ceramic powder and a binder containing components evaporating in a curing process are mixed is flowed into a space section demarcated by a master model 1 and a frame body 4, and left at rest for a fixed time and cured. The frame body 4 is disassembled after curing, and a molded shape is extracted. The molded shape is ignited directly and baked primarily, and charged into a furnace in an oxidizable atmosphere and baked secondarily for a fixed time, thus obtaining an air-permeable durable die 6. The volume of cast iron powder increases because cast iron powder is oxidized in the baking process, and sintered to a shape wrapping ceramic powder, thus forming firm composite baked bodies. The titled durable die has porous, compact and smooth properties by fine voids because one part of the binder evaporates and scatters.
