Summary:PURPOSE:The titled capsule, containing contents obtained by adding a phospholipid to liver oil, and capable of preventing the deterioration of films with time. CONSTITUTION:A capsule of liver oil obtained by adding >=0.05wt%, preferably 0.1-1.0wt%, based on liver oil, e.g. cod-liver oil or shark liver oil, phospholipid, e.g. phosphatidyl choline phosphatidyl inositol or phosphatidyl ethanolamine, thereto. A flavoring agent, e.g. peppermint oil, cinnamon oil or orange oil, a colorant, e.g. beta-carotene or natural chlorophyll, an oil-soluble vitamin, e.g. vitamin E or K, a vegetable oil, e.g. wheat embryo bud oil, safflower oil or sesame oil, may be incorporated therewith. A film material for the soft capsule of the liver oil is obtained by gelatinizing gelatin, a water-soluble polyhydric alcohol or a derivative thereof, e.g. glycerol or sorbitol. The solubility of the resultant film will not change even after the lapse of 50 days at 50 deg.C.
