Summary: | PURPOSE:To enable the detection of passage and retention of a carrying object by actuating a limit switch with the movement of a piece abutting against the object. CONSTITUTION:When a moving piece 5 abuts against the left end of a carrying object 11 to move to the left on a guide rail 4, graded to the left, a roller 16 thus far contacting the bottom surface of the piece 5 separates therefrom to turn OFF a limit switch 10. Then, as the piece 5 further moves to the left and reaches the graded portion at the left end of the rail 4, a roller 3 separates from a carrying object 11. Consequently, a tension by the weight 9 works on the piece 5 through a rope 8 so that it moves back to the right along the rail 4 to push down the roller 16, turning ON the switch 10 again. The piece 5 stops with a stopper 6. This series of operations are repeated to detect the passage of a carrying object. When the OFF period of the switch 10 is found to be larger than set time required for the passage of a larger carrying object, retention is detected from the judgement that the object is retained on a roller conveyor. |
