Summary:PURPOSE:To reduce the resistance to the propulsion of an entire remodeled ship in which an old hull is coupled with a new hull of larger width, by causing water to flow from the hull width difference point of the remodeled ship toward its stern to prevent a water flow from being involved at the hull width difference point. CONSTITUTION:An old hull 1 containing an engine room is coupled with a new hull 2 containing a hold and having a larger width than the old hull, in such a manner that width difference sections 4 are formed at the joint 3 between both the hulls 1, 2. Plural ejection ports 5 are provided in the rear end of the new hull 2 at the width difference sections 4 to jet out water to cause water flows toward the stern to prevent vortexes from being produced at the width difference sections 4. As a result, the resistance to the propulsion of an entire remodeled ship is reduced.
