Summary:PURPOSE:To simplify the transmission operation by transmitting picture information read from picture information storage means at each of plural transmission opposite terminals in response to the signal from handled by each terminal device. CONSTITUTION:After original picture information obtained at a reading section 2 is coded by a storage coding section 52, the information is written in a storage section 1. When a command to transmit the picture information stored in the storage section 1 to plural terminal devices is inputted, a main control section applies a dial indication to a network control section 4 so as to call the 1st terminal device and the picture information from the storage section is coded and transmitted according to the coding system handled by the opposite terminal device at a transmission coding section 62. Then the 2nd transmission opposite terminal is selected and transmitted similarly.
