Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent the lowering of dust collecting efficiency for dust included in sucked gas, by regulating the moisture content of the gas to be sucked into an electrostatic precipitator to maintain the moisture content at a prescribed value or higher. CONSTITUTION:A gas exhausted from a waste ore discharging part 2 of a sintering machine 1 is sucked to an electrostatic precipitator 3, and is discharged into the atmosphere after removing dust. On the other hand, a gas exhausted from the machine 1 is passed through a dust collector 4, a desulfurizing device 5, and a denitrating device 6 or a heating furnace 7, and is discharged into the atmosphere after desulfurizing and denitrating the gas. The waste gas having about 10-15% moisture content exhausted from the device 6 or the furnace 7 through the device 5 is mixed in proper quantity with the gas exhausted from the part 2, etc. and sucked to the precipitator 3 to maintain the moisture content of the mixed gas to be sucked to the precipitator 3 at a prescribed value or higher. Thus the dust included in the gas is always efficiently removed to reduce the running cost.
