Summary:PURPOSE:To automatize the charging of various kinds of recording papers as well as to make the reliability of operations higher and also make the printer compact by using a system in which a movable guide plate provided in the proximity of the periphery of a platen is turned in concert with the charging of recording papers to the platen. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical platen 1 to supply recording papers P, an upper roller 9 and a lower roller 5 turning while pressingly holding the paper P on the circumference of the platen 1, a fixed guide plate 2 to direct the paper P onto the periphery of the platen 1, and a movable guide plate 22 turning in a rocking manner on the outside of the guide plate 2 are provided. When the recording paper P is charged to the platen 1, the paper P is closely contacted with the platen 1 without slackening and sent to the roller by turning the movable guide plate 22.
