Summary:PURPOSE:To extend a life of a dry type developer and to protect its development performance from the effect of the environmental conditions by adding an alpha-Al2O3 and gamma-Al2O3 blended hard fine powder to a toner composed essentially of an amorphous conductive iron powder carrier and a toner contg. polyester as a principal resin component. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of alpha-Al2O3 and gamma-Al2O3 having 200-1,000mum and 20mum particle diameter, respectively, and 3:7-7:3 blend ratio is added to a dry type developer consisting of a carrier of amorphous conductive iron powder and a toner contg. a binder composed essentially of polyester resin and a pigment, such as carbon black, by 0.3-3.0wt% alumina mixture based on the toner. As a result, the obtained developer is not deteriorated in development performance by high humidity, and long in life, and it can obtain a good image.
