Summary:PURPOSE:To enable to supply a sufficient exciting current even when the power factor of a load becomes low by coupling the primary side of a transformer for producing the voltage component of the output of a generator in a star connection and the secondary side in a dalta connection. CONSTITUTION:The voltage component of the output of a generator is produced by a transformer 7 which is coupled at the primary side in a star connection and at the secondary side in a delta connection, and a current component is produced by a current transformer 4. The voltage component and the current component are added to be supplied to an automatic voltage regulator 3. In this manner, since the exciting current is increased even when the power factor of a load becomes low, sufficient exciting current can be supplied.
