Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent a solar battery system from the reduction of light receiving rate by a method wherein the fact that a charging voltage is reduced to the referential value or less is detected, and water (or a cleaning liquid) is supplied onto the light receiving surface of the solar battery from a water storage tank to perform cleaning. CONSTITUTION:Solar rays strike against the light receiving surface 1 of a solar battery at normal time, and an electric current is supplied to load 8 charging a battery 7. When the light receiving surface is contaminated, the charging quantity is reduced. The charging voltage thereof is monitored by a control board 6, and when the voltage becomes to the referential value or less, a valve 4 is opened to jet water or a cleaning liquid from the nozzles of a drain member 5, the light receiving surface 1 is cleaned automatically, and after cleaning is performed for the prescribed hours, the valve 4 is closed again. When a wiper 2 is used, cleaning can be performed more effectively. According to this construction, the solar battery can be prevented from the reduction of electricity generating efficiency according to contamination of the light receiving surface.
