PURPOSE:To perform efficiently treatment such as drying, cooling or the like of powder to be treated by supplying the powder to be treated into plural cylindrical bodies while oscillating a cylindrical body contg. the plural cylindrical bodies and supplying a heat medium to the inside of the cylindrical body. CONSTITUTION:Both ends of a longitudinally long cylindrical body 32 having an inlet 32a and an outlet 32b for a heat medium at both ends are closed hermetically with support plates 22a, 22b, and plural cylindrical bodies 62a-62e for treating powder are mounted through said support plates. The body 32 is supported by springs 52, 52b and while said body is oscillated by a source 32c for generating oscillation, the powder to be treated is supplied into the plural cylindrical bodies 62a-62e from the inlets 72a-72e thereof and the heat medium is introduced into the body 32. The powder is held suspended and rotated in the bodies 62a-62e, and are subjected to treatments such as drying, cooling or the like by the heat medium passing on the outside of said bodies. The treated powder is removed from outlets 74a-74e. The steam generated in this stage is discharged from outlets 73a-73e.
