Summary:PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency for recovering waste heat from a cooler by storing the sintered ore from a sintering machine in a chute, measuring the weight thereof, and controlling the traveling speed of the traveling grid of the cooler in accordance with the measured weight. CONSTITUTION:The sintered ore from a sintering machine 1 is stored through a primary crusher 2 in a storage section 4 of a chute 3. The ore is then supplied through a discharging port 5 and a feeding out port 6 onto the traveling grid 8 of a cooler 7, and the sensible heat of the waste air is recovered with a waste air duct 10. A load cell 12 is provided between the section 4 and a platform 11 and the weight of the ore stored in the chute 3 is measured in the above-mentioned operation. The signal value from the cell 12 and the set value from a setter 14 are compared by a control means 13, and the traveling speed of the grid 8 is controlled with a driving motor M. The blow-by of the cooling air through the grid 8 is thus prevented and the efficiency for recovering heat is improved.
