Summary:PURPOSE:A herbicide composition comprising active ingredients obtained by blending a novel substituted phenylcarbamate with another compound, having increased herbicidal effects and immediate effects on grown weeds, synergistically improved herbicidal effect by foliar treatment. CONSTITUTION:A novel substituted phenylcarbamate such as compounds shown by the formula II, formula III, etc. shown by the formula I (X is O, S, or vinylene; l, and m are 1-3; n is 0 or 1; N, two alkylene chains which may be branched, and X form 5-7 heterocyclic ring; Y is halogen; Z is H, or Y; R is alkyl, alkenyl, or alkynyl which may be modified in the middle) having improved herbicidal effect on various kinds of weeds from germination period to double- leaf period by soil treatment and foliar treatment is blended with 1,1'-dimethyl- 4,4'-dipyridinium salt, such as dichloride, etc. in a blending ratio of 1:(0.02-500), to give active ingredients.
