Summary:PURPOSE:To enhance the supply of dampening water, by arranging a set of dampening rollers above a water droplet generating apparatus to enable the collection of fine water droplets. CONSTITUTION:Fine particles of water droplets from a dampening water droplet generating apparatus 1 are apt to be scattered to the circumference in a state accompanied by an air stream induced around dampening rollers 2, 3 rotated at a high speed but, because the contact point (a) of the dampening rollers 2, 3 are positioned on a water droplet scattering path, entrapped between the rollers 2, 3. Because even fine water droplets are wholly collected between rollers 2, 3 as mentioned above, dampening water is supplied to a plate cylinder 5 in good efficiency through dampening rollers 4.
