Summary:PURPOSE:To ensure the accurate control of an objective lens by forming the 1st and 2nd parallel grooves having a 90 deg. mutual angle to the support members in both focusing and tracking directions and providing steel balls put with pressure into an elastic member between both parallel grooves. CONSTITUTION:An objective lens 10 which focuses a light spot to the surface of a disk is welded to a bobbin 11 made of a rigid material. Then mobile coils 12 and 13 for shift in directions F and T respectively are wound fixedly around the bobbin 11. When a current is flowed to the coil 12, the lens 10 is shifted smoothly in the direction F by the 1st parallel grooves 16a and 16b as well as steel balls 17a-17e which are put with pressure into an elastic member. When a current is flowed to the coil 13, the lens 10 is shifted smoothly toward T by the 2nd parallel grooves 18b and 18c and the balls 17a-17e respectively.
