Summary:PURPOSE:To form a normal image and a mirror image of an original picture with a simple constitution and a simple circuit, by providing a means which can set a subscanning done in a reading mode of the original picture in the direction adverse to the direction set when the original picture is read in the form of the normal image. CONSTITUTION:The light of a light source 21 at a reader part 20 of an image forming device is irradiated to an original 22 to be copied. The original 22 is shifted toward an arrow G or H, and the reflected light of the original 22 is reflected by mirrors 23 and 24 and made incident to a CCD 26. This reflected light is digitized by an A/D converter 27, and the image information is given to a printer part 30. A laser 31 of the part 30 delivers the laser light based on the signal given from the part 20. This laser light is supplied to a photosensitive drum 33 via a rotary polyhedral mirror 31. The drum 33 is revolved toward an arrow to copy the image formed by the electric information. Then a CPU 40, a normal image designation key 42, a reverse image designation key 45, a drive circuit 48, etc. are provided to the drive system of the image forming device. The subscanning done in a reading mode of the original 22 is set in the direction adverse to the direction set when the picture is read in the form of the normal image. Thus both the normal image and a mirror image are formed with a simple constitution.
