Summary: | PURPOSE:To read an index on a disk recording medium which is revolving at a high speed with a stroboscopic effect, by illuminating intermittently the index on the revolving disk and then obtaining coincidence between the period of illumination and the number of revolutions of the disk. CONSTITUTION:The 1st gear 9, timing belt 10 and the 2nd gear 11 are set so as to obtain synchronization between the period of intermittent illumination of a label 2 produced by the revolution of a shutter 12 and the number of revolutions of a disk 1. The label 2 is illuminated synchronously with the revolution of the disk 1, and an object revolving at a known fixed speed is illuminated intermittently. This illuminating period is set at the number of revolutions of said object to obtain a stroboscopic effect. With this effect, the object seems as if it stopped. As a result, it is possible to read easily the contents of information of the index on the disk 1 even with the information to be reproduced at a high speed. |
