PURPOSE:To obviate troubles at the time of inserting a paper, guide the paper securely and uniformly and feed it in a correct direction, by a method wherein a paper feeding-in part of a guide member proximate to a pressing position of a paper press roller and a platen is bent so as to be proximate to a circumferential surface of the platen. CONSTITUTION:A guide plate 33 is provided with a plurality of opening parts 33A in the form of not interfering with a lower roller 37 so that the lower roller 37 is pressed against the platen 31 at a meeting point A. The feeding-in side for the recording paper P of one end of the opening parts 33A is bent to the platen 31 side, tip parts of the thus bent part 33B on the feeding-in side are located in proximity to the surface of the platen 31, and the spacing therebetween are uniformly set to be a fixed value in the range of 0.5-2mm.. The discharging side for the paper of the opening parts 33A of the guide plate 33 is slightly bent to the outside, namely, the side opposite to the platen 31 to constitute a bent part 33C on the discharging side. Further, the guide plate 33 is provided with an arcuate cross section, with a predetermined uniform gap between it and the outside peripheral surface of the platen 31, and guides the paper P to a position proximate to a recording surface.
