Summary:PURPOSE:To prevent the breakage of gears or the like by a method wherein the driven member of one-direction clutch, fitted to a rotary shaft rotated by a starting motor, is divided into two parts of a clutch outer and a pinion gear and a shock absorbing member is provided between the two parts. CONSTITUTION:The clutch outer 3a, constituting the driving part of the one direction clutch 5, is fitted externaly to the one end of the rotary shaft 2, whose other end is provided with a driven gear 1 recieving the transmission of the rotation of the starting motor, through a helical spline 4a slidably into the axial direction thereof. A centrifugal governor device 11 is attached to the small diameter part of the clutch outer 3a. The driven part of the one direction clutch 5 is constituted by a substantially cylindrical clutch inner 3b and a pinion gear 6 while the pinion gear 6 is fitted externaly to the small diametral part of the inner 3b through the helical spline 4b having a screw in reverse to the same of the spline 4a. The shock absorbing part is provided between the inner 3b and the pinion gear 6 by interposing a disc spring 15.
