Summary:PURPOSE:To achieve a stable long-time continuous measurement by measuring a heat flux simultaneously in the length-wise and circumferential direction by burying a heat- sensitive section comprising a plurality of sheathed thermocouples into inner and outer surfaces of a tube wall in the length-wise and circumferential direction of an outer tube of a double tube through which a cooling water circulates. CONSTITUTION:A tubular heat flowmeter 1 is composed of an outer tube 3 comprising a plurality of unit short tubes made of material the same as that of a boiler tube and an inner tube 17 with both open ends provided inside and a cooling water inlet 2 is provided. A plurality of heat-sensitive sections 7 comprising sheathed thermocouples are buried into the outer surface 6 and the inner surface 8 of a tube wall in the length- wise and circumferential directions of the outer tube 3 at a required space. This heat flowmeter 1 is provided near a boiler supercharger tube or the like and a cooling water flows-in to measure the temperature of the respective heat-sensitive sections 7 and a heat flow of parts of a tube body are determined by a specified formula. This enables the simultaneous measurement of heat flux at multiple points in the length-wise and circumferential directions thereby ensuring a stable long-time continuous measurement by a cooling action.
